Blog Makeover with Artisteer
I was searching for a nice template for the blog, I looked at several offerings but I was looking for something clean and not to busy, on one website I found a link back to Artisteer, I was pleasantly surprised by the easy use of this application.
Being a bit impulsive I went for the Standard Edition at $129.95, there is a Home and Academic version as well for $49.95 which will suit anyone wanting a new look for their WordPress Blog, there is also a free try before you buy versions that wantermarks the templates you export. What is Artisteer you might be wondering, Artisteer is an application that allows you to design a skin for your website, WordPress Blogs, professional Joomla!, Drupal templates, and Website designs in a matter of Minutes, depending on the version you get no other applications are needed to create a professional looking template.
As I have websites in both WordPress and DotNetNuke I was interested ina tool for managing my own templates, I downloaded, paid and registered the application and set about creating a WordPress theame, the theame for the page you are looking at now was created in about 60 minutes.
Once you have downloaded the application and have a play you will find like me it is so easy to use, just by using the Suggest options you can create a nice website theame, each element can also be customised to your own choices.
This YouTube Video is a good overview:
This is the result of 10 minutes playing with the Suggest Options:

I agree, Artisteer is a great program for making Wordpress themes. I have been working with it for a week or so and have already made some themes I’m really happy with.
The Suggest feature is especially handy, gives you lots of nice layouts or just sparks some ideas on what you might want to do.
Thanks for the artisteer link. Sounds great! Templates can be an interesting outlet for photographers/illustrators, and if it can be done in a painless way, it’s even better.
